I Was Born In The Forest

Hello again – I thought I would give you all a selection of nice house tunes to keep your Saturday night pulsating. This is A Derogatory House – not to be confused with A Derogatory playlist. Throw the below songs into a playlist and put it on shuffle, no order needed – the more chaos the better, let it surprise you anytime of the day or night. That is the great thing about house music it seems to morph into your surroundings, deep and dark at night yet drifty and dreaming during the day.

Anyway let this post not be about words and let it be about the music, after all the music is what keeps A Derogatory’s heart beating.  So close your eyes and prey for the return of Adso the Derogatory Incubator.

A Derogatory ReTerms

After over a year hiatus A Derogatory ReTerms on http://aderogatoryterm.com giving us the freedom we need to post what we like with out the stick of Google’s Blogspot prodding us in the anus.

Adso and I are as keen as ever so let’s hope we can keep it going. Our musical taste has both shifted in all directions, which will give you a greater variety of sounds.  Quality of tracks is also going to be a focus of mine and I plan to post Wav files whenever I get a chance.

I thought I may as well start where I left off with the next instalment of A Derogatory Playlist. The tracks below range from Disco, House, Deep house, Acid, Tech House and Electro. I am starting to gain an interest in Techno so I look forward to exploring this avenue more in the future. Same concept as always in that the Playlist builds from the start – so you will find the heavier tracks at the end.

Enjoy

I highly recommend….

Soul Clap – Lonely C. feat. Charles Levine

I first heard Lonely C on Wolf & Lamb & Soulclap’s awesome DJ Kicks compilation. The two groups have really taken the dance scene by storm exploding in popularity this year through many years of hardwork put in by W&L in throwing infamous parties in New York. The track is led by a strong jumpy bass line and the whaling effected lyrics of Charles Levine which slap and stick to your mind.

Sander Kleinenberg – The Journey feat Ursula Rucker (Kolombo Remix)

Kolombo takes you on a disco Journey with a punishing bass line, funky guitar and sharp synth stabs. This is a complete track with an electronic break with incubating synth lines, bringing you up then down just before that bass line punishes you again till the end.

WhoMadeWho – Every Minute Alone (Tale Of Us Remix)

WhoMadeWho have been one of my favourite bands for a long time and their affiliation with the electronic dance music screen has spawned a string of quality remixes from all their albums. I am yet to get their new album but if the vocal track on this Tech House remix is anything to go by then there is a lot to look forward to. The vocals lead into a thumping dark techno bass line which is sure to turn the lights off in any set especially with the Wav file.

Alex Metric & Steve Angello – Open Your Eyes (Original_Mix)

I thought I had grown out of the big room electro sound however this weapon of a track has made me appreciate the power of the mix between good quality production, huge bass and a Wav file. Play it loud and grind those molars.

Thanks
